thankful for patience

I have started this blog as a thank you to everyone who is patiently waiting for your photos ~ I think about all of you as I go through your beautiful photos and hope to share some of your photos here while you wait.

Sometimes I still can’t believe that I get to do what I love doing for a living – the I want to be a photographer when I grow up has worked- though like most of us, I’m still growing up and like most of us, I need more time in every day.  In particular because of another job I love working for a human rights organization, it’s a crazy schedule.  There seems to be just enough time for photo sessions and assignments, leaving not enough time to edit and share the many many photos from those shoots or make prints and dvds.

But there is a whole lot of love into every step and hope it’s more than worth the wait.

Here are some photos of the stunning Elizabeth from last fall – we’d planned to do some bridal portraits in the summer before her wedding, but at the last minute decided it would be way more fun to traipse around Manhattan in her dress AFTER the wedding, when she wouldn’t have to worry about getting it dirty, say, playing in leaves in Central Park.  Portraits don’t get more fun than this!
